until December 24
The 24th is Christmas for half the world
Heiligabend, Nochebuena, Julaften — in large parts of the world the presents come out on the evening of December 24. Schools often finish for the break that same day, which makes the last morning countdown a little tradition of its own. This page counts to the 24th so those families and classrooms see the number that matches their calendar.

FAQ
Why count down to the 24th?
In many countries — Germany, Austria, Scandinavia and much of Latin America — Christmas Eve on December 24 is the main celebration: dinner, gifts and family. This page counts to that day instead of December 25.
Does it count to midnight or the evening?
The countdown targets the start of December 24, your local time — the day itself. Families celebrating in the evening get a little bonus time on the clock.
Is there a Christmas Day version?
Yes — the main countdown counts to December 25. Both roll over automatically after the date passes, so neither ever goes stale.
Can we show it on a projector or TV?
Yes — press Fullscreen for a big, clean display for the living room or the classroom.
Does it work offline?
After the first load, yes — it keeps counting without internet.
